This role is integral to enhancing the overall security strategy and compliance framework within the organization. You will lead the operations of security engineering and ensure the integrity of data by managing various aspects of vulnerability assessments, compliance programs, and incident response. Your efforts will safeguard critical systems and data while aligning security practices with industry regulations. This position demands a mix of strategic insight and hands-on technical expertise as you develop and implement security policies and initiatives to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of hands-on IT security engineering or cybersecurity experience.
Strong technical knowledge in AWS security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Experience in leading security or compliance functions effectively.
Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead vulnerability management, SIEM tuning, incident response, and threat investigations.
Oversee secure baseline configurations and cloud security controls.
Develop and manage all security policies, standards, and awareness training.
Conduct risk assessments and manage third-party/vendor risk evaluations.
Own the Disaster Recovery governance program and ensure effective plan execution.
Guide cross-functional teams through security requirements and policy changes.
