About The Position

The Remote Freight Forwarding Sales Executive is responsible for driving business development and increasing the company's carrier partner network while promoting operational excellence in international freight services. This role requires a competitive and motivated individual with a proven track record in sales, particularly in the transportation and logistics sector, to effectively consult with major accounts and generate new sales revenue.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of sales experience in International Freight Forwarding focused on high volume accounts.
  • Prior experience in International Operations is recommended.
  • Knowledge and understanding of international freight forwarding, domestic and gateway operations.
  • Ability to independently develop new business opportunities outside of the company's network of customers.
  • Effective communication and relationship maintenance skills with customers.
  • Ability to strategically analyze and pursue opportunities for continuous growth.
  • Ability to excel in high-stress situations with Senior and C-level executives, presenting clearly and overcoming objections with data-driven negotiation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cold calling and developing new business strategies.
  • Familiarity with market trends in international freight forwarding.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically position profitable solutions with new customers focusing on international freight products and services.
  • Build density as the company expands offerings in foreign markets.
  • Maintain specific knowledge regarding international freight forwarding and gateway operations, staying current on market trends.
  • Generate new sales revenue independently for a designated geographic region.
  • Develop an entrance strategy for cold calling, qualifying, and connecting with prospective business partners.
  • Create and drive a sales plan strategy that meets monthly sales goals and initiatives.
  • Utilize internal tools to negotiate market freight rates for customers.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to both internal and external business partners.
  • Account management to retain and grow the current client base.
  • Maintain knowledge of the company's specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements.
  • Expand and cultivate the company's carrier and agent network while developing new partner relationships.
  • Promote, monitor, and engage employees to exceed metrics and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate efforts and communication with Sales and Logistics Account Executives for maximum visibility of the international service portfolio.
