About The Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Azure and Infrastructure as Code to join our SysOps team. This position is a contract role for 12 months, with a compensation of $87 per hour. The role will involve a mix of leadership and hands-on technical work, with approximately 30% of the time dedicated to leading and mentoring team members, and 70% focused on hands-on engineering tasks. The project aims to address the current technical debt in our infrastructure, which has been built without Azure expertise and is not sustainable. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure services and a passion for automation in infrastructure environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure services.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, primarily using Bicep.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps, including pipelines and release management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ARM Templates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the SysOps team in DevOps practices and Azure technologies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and manage existing ARM templates.
• Automate processes within the infrastructure environment to reduce manual tasks.
• Manage Azure resources including App Services, Networking, Storage, SQL Databases, Key Vault, and Application Gateway.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for pipelines, release management, and artifacts.
