Atrilogy's Direct Client is seeking a Core System Programmer for a full-time, direct-hire role, which is a remote opportunity. Candidates must be located in California, Texas, or Arizona. The position requires a thorough understanding of the Symitar system, particularly in PowerOn programming, standard batch programming options, forms, and Episys parameter settings. The Core System Programmer will support end users by designing, developing, and modifying Symitar/Episys PowerOn programs. This role involves close collaboration with the Technical Business Analyst and end users to deliver high-quality work that enhances user experience and improves operational efficiencies. The essential duties of this position include full life cycle development, which encompasses design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of PowerOn programs, including Symforms, batch reports, and SymXchange. The programmer will apply significant knowledge of industry trends to enhance service delivery and partner with the Technical Business Analyst and other departments to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and modifying code to comply with system changes and new specifications, debugging existing code to minimize user downtime, and ensuring maximum member service. The Core System Programmer will also assess, design, and develop level of effort estimates for projects, participate in knowledge-sharing efforts, and mentor others in technology and development processes. The position requires working with the IT team to troubleshoot complex problems, utilizing technology to streamline processes, and exercising innovation and creativity to identify trends and resolve errors. Effective communication with the supervisor and team members is crucial to keep everyone informed of progress and any delays that may occur.
