About The Position

The Remote Accounting Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative and compliance activities of the dealership, as well as managing the document flow to the consolidated accounting office. This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and requires a strong understanding of accounting practices within the automotive industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of dealership documents and applicable regulations governing the automotive industry.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Dealership Management Systems.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems, accounting software, and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Verify that all payables and accounting-related items are scanned and mailed to HCAO for posting.
• Manage the Cash Drawer Reconciliation Process and submit to the Controller Monthly.
• Send Dealership Credit Card Receipts to Controller for reconciliation and payment if applicable.
• Perform field audit work as instructed and requested by the Controller or Regional Controller.
• Ensure timely submission of all documents to HCAO for processing.
• Scan all checks received in the dealership office into the UTA back office machine.
• Assist with both wholesale and retail title work as instructed by the Regional Controller if applicable.
• Notify Controller, GM, and Regional Controller of any potential compliance risks that might pertain to dealership operations or accounting.
• Act as a liaison for month-end procedures and documentation for Controller.
• Schedule all other administrative staff as instructed by the Regional Controller if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
