About The Position

The Reminiscence Coordinator at Sunrise Senior Living is responsible for leading and managing the reminiscence neighborhood, ensuring high-quality resident care in accordance with individualized service plans. This role involves programming, family outreach, staff management, and compliance with regulations, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents with dementia.

Requirements

• College degree preferred.
• One year supervisory experience preferred, including experience in dementia care.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate assignments effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare or senior living environments.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and dementia care best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall operation of the reminiscence neighborhood in accordance with laws and Sunrise standards.
• Champion quality delivery of the Resident Centered model and reminiscence programming.
• Partner with the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure engaging activities for residents.
• Design and facilitate the reminiscence program focusing on dementia-appropriate activities.
• Manage the assessment process to determine levels of care and staff needs.
• Oversee family events and services, ensuring effective communication with families and physicians.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and Sunrise standards regarding resident care.
• Assist in the community budget and manage departmental expenses.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and train team members, ensuring compliance with training requirements.
