New York Air Brake is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift, which runs from Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The position offers a starting pay of $16 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour differential. The technician will be responsible for basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts, as well as identifying serviceable versus non-serviceable parts. The role involves operating semi-automatic equipment and handling parts and tools safely while adhering to quality and safety guidelines.

  • Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
  • Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts.
  • Operation of semi-automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, and ultra-sonic washers.
  • Handle parts and tools in a safe manner.
  • Proper use of power and manual tools including impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, and hand tools.
  • Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Good mechanical skills and knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
  • Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.
  • Technical capacity and knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
  • Strong communication proficiency.
