About The Position

New York Air Brake is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift, located in Springfield, Missouri. This position involves basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts, as well as identifying serviceable versus non-serviceable parts. The technician will operate semi-automatic equipment and handle parts and tools safely while complying with quality and safety guidelines. The role requires good mechanical skills and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 10:30 AM, with a pay rate of $16 per hour plus a $1 per hour differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
• Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.

Responsibilities

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, and ultra-sonic washers.
• Handle parts and tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools including impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, and hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
