We are currently looking for a Relocation Project Coordinator to work within our Education project sector. This role supports the relocation project team within a large community college school district and will support all FF&E activities and move management activities, such as project scope creation, bidding, analysis of bids, budget tracking, move coordination and scheduling, on-site move oversight, and punch list activities to ensure complete functional occupancy of new and renovated buildings.

Requirements

  • Experience with contract schedule, owner invoices and the change order process.
  • Ability to provide update and status reports for work in progress including cost and schedules.
  • Experience with set-up and document control.
  • Ability to read architectural and furniture drawing.
  • Knowledge of furniture and equipment specifications and procurement.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to hold one's self accountable to individual and team goals.
  • Consistently communicates and collaborates with team members and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: High School diploma required. BS in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 4 years of related experience in Interior Design, Construction, Engineering, Moves/Relocations, Facilities, or Furniture, Fixture and Equipment coordination/procurement.
  • Preferred Certification: Certification/Membership with CID, IIDA, AIA, IFMA, and LEED.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Furniture/Equipment/Relocation Project Management Services with emphasis in FF&E selection, procurement coordination and purchasing.
  • Assist with the procurement and purchasing of FF&E using best-value and/or low bid public contracting.
  • Support budget and schedule tracking efforts for FF&E and moves.
  • Meet with relevant Project Architects (A/E) and Project Managers to prepare office layouts and plan furniture and equipment relocation.
  • Coordinate and prepare a list of all new furniture and equipment needed for the project.
  • Assist with the timely and successful onsite FF&E installation, punch-list sign-off and transition during swing space.
  • Support the procurement of specialty contractors or Movers for installations, delivery, and/or connections.
  • Create detailed scope of work for Task Orders for Contractors/Movers as necessary.
  • Assist in the onsite unlocking of all areas requiring access by the movers and others during the project phases.
  • Maintain all FF&E, move management, moving and storage related documents.
