Job Summary St. Joseph Catholic School seeks a Christ-centered, relatable Middle School Religion Teacher to serve students in Grades 6–9. This teacher will play a critical role in forming young adolescents during a pivotal stage of their development—guiding students to deepen their faith, develop strong character, and grow into individuals prepared to serve the world with compassion, integrity, and purpose. The ideal candidate is a strong role model and engaging presence who connects authentically with middle school students. This teacher should inspire students not only through instruction, but through example — modeling a life rooted in faith, service, and love of Christ. Through meaningful relationships, thoughtful instruction, and Christ-centered leadership, this teacher will help students see faith as both relevant and transformative in their daily lives. This position may also include teaching in an additional subject area aligned with the candidate’s strengths and background. Possible additional assignments may include: English / Language Arts Mathematics Spanish Choir / Music Fine Arts Electives aligned with candidate expertise Ministerial Character Catholic schools in the Diocese of Austin are canonically obedient to the Bishop and assist him in fulfilling his ministry and canonical obligations. Pastors, presidents, and principals serve as leaders of the schools to make Christ's mission present and enduring throughout our learning environments and heralded institutions. In order to fulfill Christ's mission, school leaders employ suitable, chosen collaborators, sharing with them Christ's mission and entrusting to them various responsibilities.
