About The Position

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is a busy referral and emergency center located in Fishers, IN. We are seeking Veterinary Assistants to join our team in our emergency department and our ICW. We are hiring for our Swing (2pm-12am) and Overnight (6pm-6am) shifts with weekend shifts available. Experience in veterinary medicine is required. Current Veterinary Technician students are welcome and encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

Requirements

• Experience in veterinary medicine is required.
• Current Veterinary Technician students are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
