Short-Term Relief Veterinarian (4 months)

We are looking for a veterinarian to join our team for a 4-month contract (March 2nd, 2026 through June 28th, 2026) while one of our Associate Veterinarians is out on maternity leave. The position will be part-time and consist of three 9- or 10-hour shifts per week with a responsibility of 3 weekend shifts per month. Candidates should have at least one year of experience practicing in small animal primary care, urgent care or emergency medicine.
Requirements
- DVM degree (or equivalent)
- An active license to practice in the state of New York
- 1+ years of experience practicing in small animal primary care, urgent care or emergency medicine
- A passion for serving and caring for people and pets
- A commitment to ethical and compassionate medicine above all else
- A positive attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- An ability to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues
