The Relief Route Rep will provide state-wide coverage of assigned routes in Sales Representatives absence and is responsible for customer service, sales and may serve as a contact person for customers.   • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Able to work nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly self motivated and results oriented with the ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and be attentive to details.
  • Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to qualify for a Salesperson Transportation Permit.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets with company guidelines and current automobile insurance coverage.
  • Must maintain a presentable and well-groomed appearance.
  • Must have the ability to adhere to N.K.S. company policies and procedures and interact with customers based upon N.K.S. expectations.
  • Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language.
  • Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with customers, company personnel, and suppliers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.
  • The ability to recognize and solve customer problems that are related to sales and service.
  • Collaboration with team members is necessary.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extensive periods of time.
  • The job requires the use of hands ( to finger, handle, or feel ) specifically for, but not limited to working on the computer.
  • The employee must lift and/or move or push/pull up to 165 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing and speech are also required communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • The Relief Route Rep will provide state-wide coverage of assigned routes in a specific Sales territory.
  • Establish and practice good selling concepts and techniques.
  • Maintain retail call frequency to include: follow structured selling process, maintain inventory levels, build and restock displays, point of sale placements, sell in additional shelf space, rotate product, fill shelves, plan promotion activities, follow up on delivery issues, and resolve billing issues.
  • Conduct sales calls.
  • Uses prepared sell sheets to sell product.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, sales data tools.
  • Maintain all required information.
  • Adhere to N.K.S. product rotation and freshness standards.
  • Procure and maintain package and draught replacements of all brands and sizes in accounts.
  • Handle sales order consistent with good distribution practice.
  • Communicate directly with team members on issues.
  • Every sales associate is responsible for seeing all accounts within their designated territory on a minimum frequency.
  • Maximize sales of all N.K.S. products in assigned accounts by increasing distribution, shelf-space, displays, securing price points, draught taps, merchandising, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate brand information, supply POS material and keep lines of communication open with team members in order to better sell through products.
  • Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary.
  • Ensure proper placement of products on shelf, back bar, draft, etc.
  • Arrange POS installation as appropriate and agreed to by the customer.
  • Implement all marketing sales promotions in accounts.
  • Maintain sales route cards with all current information.
  • Utilize M360 to ensure timely and accurate orders.
  • Contribute accurate and timely reports on an on-going basis.
  • Enforces and adheres to the N.K.S. employee handbook including strict compliance with all N.K.S. policies.
  • Enforces and adheres to the AB-InBev Equity Agreement (Exhibit 9), including but not limited to Freshest Before/Code Date Policy and Retailer Trade Over-Age Removal Policy.
  • Enforces and adheres to all other Supplier Partners standards and requirements.
  • Enforces and adheres to all Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Control Commissioner (DABCC) rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that all decisions and actions are consistently guided by and aligned with the N.K.S. Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
