We’re passionate about the veterinary profession and are seeking skilled Relief Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Los Angeles team! Location: Relief shifts are available at our Los Angeles clinics, ranging from 6 to 10 hours throughout the week. What you’ll be working on: Maximize Your License: Utilize your RVT license to its fullest, delivering top-notch care Precision in Care: Maintain accurate medical records with the appropriate veterinary terminology Diagnostic Expertise: Perform lab work and radiology, ensuring quality results Pharmacology Knowledge: Handle controlled medications with attention to detail Collaborative Environment: Work closely with DVMs and the veterinary team to provide exceptional care Client Communication: Deliver clear, compassionate discharge instructions to pet owners Autonomous Practice: Thrive in a setting that values independence and proactive problem-solving Continuous Learning: Grow in a culture that prioritizes continuous improvement and excellence Why you'd be a great fit: Credentialed RVT: Successfully completed the VTNE & hold an active license in the state of California Curious and Innovative: A forward-thinker eager to explore new approaches Team-Oriented: Enjoys collaboration and contributing to a strong team dynamic Compassionate Caregiver: Committed to practicing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care Effective Communicator: Excellent at communicating with clients and team members Liability Insurance Recommended: At Modern Animal, our relief technicians work as independent contractors, so we recommend they carry their own liability insurance. This way, our relief technicians enjoy flexibility and independence while staying covered. The pay range for this position is $300.00-379.50 per 10 hour shift; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will not be eligible for medical, financial, and/or other full-time benefits.This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
