Meijer is seeking a Full-Time Relief Pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and eager to serve diverse communities. This role requires a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Indiana (or willingness to obtain licensure). As a Relief Pharmacist, you will play a personal role within your community by ensuring patients receive necessary medication and care. You must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including patient consultations and immunizations. Additionally, you will mentor, train, and guide Pharmacy Technicians.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Indiana (or willing to get licensed)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • Registered and licensed in the state of practice
  • Retail/Community Practice experience
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy system
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates

Responsibilities

  • Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
  • Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
  • Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
  • Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
  • Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
  • Possess excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, providing excellent customer service.
  • In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
  • Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.
