About The Position

The Relief Operator position at Pactiv Evergreen in Macon, Georgia, is responsible for providing structured support to Dry End Operators during their breaks and performing various job duties at the Hot press, Float line, Printer, and Wrapper. This role requires adherence to safety and quality procedures while maintaining productivity and assisting team leaders and supervisors during shift transitions.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year experience in the Dry End of the Macon Facility.
  • Certified to operate float-line, hot-press, and printer.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability sufficient to determine product quality, for example, carton malformations, color verification, and structural integrity.
  • Demonstrated hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for product handling.
  • Strong leadership potential and/or some leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all documented safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Collects and submits all completed orders to the Production Supervisor.
  • Inputs end of line data into the appropriate system.
  • Provides leadership during downtime per Production Supervisor guidance.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Provides assistance to the Natural Team Leaders and Production Supervisors during transition at shift change.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Fills in as a back-up for the Natural Team Leader position as needed.
  • Follows established break guidelines.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
