About The Position

Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service is expanding its doctor team and seeking to add more Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to their practice in Pasco, WA. The role offers an opportunity for learning and growth within a team of nurses and doctors. While ER or CCU experience is appreciated, the service is also looking to train new technicians in life-saving skills, building upon foundational skills such as restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, and accurate vital collection. Newly licensed technicians are encouraged to apply, with mentorship provided by experienced LVTs in emergency medicine. Traveling relief LVTs are welcome, with mileage reimbursement and lodging assistance provided for those picking up two or more consecutive shifts. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in the State of Washington
  • High School diploma
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician Program or equivalent
  • A.S. Veterinary Technology and a passing score of VTNE
  • Foundations set in restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, and collecting accurate vitals
