About The Position

South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family: we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, yogurt, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! Over the years, we have grown to be the largest and most efficient home delivery business in the area. We see the "excellence in the ordinary" and everything we do is done with integrity and intention. We love what we do and know you will too! We are currently hiring for a Home Delivery Relief Driver. Our Delivery Relief Drivers are self-motivated, careful route drivers, enjoy working independently, and are open to doing a wide range of tasks. This position will be cross-trained to perform other production functions and will act as an all-star team player while helping in other areas as needed. No sales are involved in this role; however, the ideal candidate will have some delivery experience, maintain flexibility in their day-to-day, and be passionate about making sure deliveries are perfect - every time. The shift for this position is Monday - Thursday, 11 pm - 10 am, and is paid a daily rate between $250.00 - $288.00 per day, plus tips Why work for South Mountain Creamery? Requirements

Responsibilities

Driving established home delivery routes-which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, West Virginia and DC
Responsible for making accurate home deliveries
Provide backup for other home delivery drivers
Pickup wholesale products
Making re-deliveries
Delivering high-value single deliveries
Re-staging the dock, reporting problems to management
Helping in production or packing when needed
Complete other delivery tasks as needed
Assist other departments as needed.
Utilizing a tablet to read customer orders
Carrying deliveries to the customer's preferred delivery location
Lifting 40-50lbs from ground level to waist high
Loading and unloading vehicles
