About The Position

Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses. The Specialized Foster Care program (SFC) is designed to provide specialized (Matrix Program) and therapeutic (CHIPS Program) services to support adolescents, ages 8-18, to manage emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric problems in a highly supportive, individualized and flexible foster home setting. The SFC program uses a multi-disciplinary approach, evidenced-based practice, specially trained foster parents, clinical counselors, collaboration and therapeutic interventions. The program also engages the adolescent’s family as he/she works toward reunification or adoption. The primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge (Master’s Degree) in the field of Human Services, and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client-centered therapeutic services. This position is entrusted with a high level of responsibility and insight in treating clients and ensuring services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to LCI and division standards. Based on the knowledge and degree required, this position will serve as a lead position in the provision of direct care. Therapeutic services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services and management of client risk and safety.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with children 0-5, children over 5, and/or adolescents who have mental health, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
  • Serve as a consultant and mentor to Bachelor’s Level Direct Care employees and Behavioral Technicians.
  • Ensure services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform assessment and treatment planning.
  • Provide direct service provision and management of client risk and safety.

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $23.5846 per hour.
