The relief cook performs duties of the#retail cook, patient room service cook and cold cook.#The position performs necessary tasks to provide quality food, service, and nutritional care for our patients and customers at a #D-10# level.# Experience with cooking (retail, catering, or patient), hospitality (tray delivery, host/hostess, server, and phone center) and nutrition (special diets) desired.#Individual must be dependable, a team player and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor at all times.#Must be able to multitask and meet various time deadlines throughout day.#This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary working environment.#Position requires attention to detail while following recipes, preparing tickets, portion control, cash handling, general cleaning/sanitation, department standards and meal delivery.#May cook/serve meals for patients, caf# customers, or catering/special functions. Must be able to operate a variety of food service equipment and be able/willing to be cross-trained to work in various food service positions for all hours of operation, which covers shifts from 5:45am-7:00pm.
