The Reliability Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the health and performance of plant equipment. This position focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance practices to reduce downtime, optimize equipment reliability, and support safe, efficient operations. Requirements

  • A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, or technical school qualifications, previous experience in reliability, or previous experience with Emerson Machinery Health Manager.
  • Proficiency with determining and setting bearing clearances.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.
  • Experience with all types of bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, fans, chippers, hog, etc.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting maching problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, WILS, Qlikview, and Maximo programs.
  • Proactive and positive approach to safety

Responsibilities

  • Collect machinery health data and report findings outside of normal trends to Reliability Engineer, maintenance supervisors, leads, and planning department.
  • Troubleshoot problems with rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Minimize downtime on equipment and improve equipment reliability.
  • Use vibration data collection equipment, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and laser alignment.
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel in solving reliability issues.
