About The Position

EAG Laboratories is seeking a Reliability Technician to join our Engineering team at the Santa Clara, CA lab. This is a unique opportunity to run reliability jobs on state-of-the-art products and interface directly with clients to define scope of work, develop technical requirements and programs, debug and resolve issues, and communicate schedule and status. We specialize in stress-based and knowledge-based reliability qualification methodologies, grounded in industry standards in support of our clients' need to achieve high quality and reliable products. As a Reliability Technician, you are responsible for running reliability stresses on materials and products to test their durability and execute such standardized work based on documented operating procedures. Activities include creating and editing chamber profiles, performing chamber tests, manual testing, and meticulous handling and analysis of samples. You are responsible for ensuring a high quality, on-schedule delivery of these results to our clients in the semiconductor industry so that they can qualify their devices. You will work with the Reliability operations team, along with management and sales to put together plans, execute, and provide support in resolving issues; take independent ownership of assigned projects and help ensure customers have a successful qualification of their product within their targeted timeline. This position works with companies that deal with defense-related activities and is subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). All considered applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or 10+ years' experience in an equivalent field.
  • Quality control inspection experience is required.
  • Experience in precision inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge in reliability stress testing, systems, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in the use of instruments; DMM, oscilloscope, microscopes, etc.
  • Good vision with or without corrective lens.
  • Strong technical understanding and excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy electronic assemblies weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects.
  • Proven willingness to learn about new processes/systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic camera/photography functions and skill.
