About The Position

The Reliability Tech Lead is responsible for maintaining, ensuring, and improving the capacity of equipment assets in assigned areas of responsibility that impact optimal efficiencies at the lowest reasonable cost. This role involves leading and influencing both direct and indirect reliability resources. The position emphasizes safe work practices, high-quality precision work with a customer service orientation, adherence to standards and best practices, and the development of maintenance knowledge through mentoring. The individual will also serve as a relief maintenance/reliability supervisor.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety practices including LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Hot Work.
  • Proficiency in calculator and computer applications for work order documentation and parts requisitioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Advanced fabrication skills for project work including design, project planning, and execution.
  • Ability to execute root cause analysis evaluations on equipment and process failures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with predictive maintenance tools such as IR, Oil Analysis, and Ultrasound.
  • Strong math skills including arithmetic and application of formulas.
  • Ability to identify and select proper tools and materials for construction and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels including mechanical systems such as power transmission components, conveyance systems, and mechanical control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities and issues.
  • Execute and assist in the development of proactive maintenance plans including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and condition maintenance.
  • Assign and schedule work orders and labor in support of maintenance/reliability activities.
  • Mentor other reliability positions within the facility.
  • Install and startup of new equipment.
  • Support innovation related activities.
