Shaw Industries is looking for a Reliability Tech C to serve the Tufting Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.   • Successful completion of START Technician-Reliability Lead training program or have verifiable experience.
  • Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times
  • Coordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as needed
  • Ensures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.
  • Learn and use tufting computer system to that is related to the job
  • Learn and use Sharp/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions
  • Directs the work order system as follows: o Maintain work order database (MP2) on Reliability Lead computer. o Performed the schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and reliability lead. o Communicate with Department Managers, process Engineer and Supervisors to clarify work orders. Specify for the requisition materials needed to complete approved work orders using the PeopleSoft System. o Assign work orders to specific maintenance associates. o Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner Inspects work for completeness.
  • Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease Turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Adhere to normal work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others o Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor, process Engineer or department manager.
  • Lead the scheduled LCL cleaning duties of the LCL machines.
  • Other task as required by management.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate good computer skills including but not limited to TPM/Sharp, Excel, searching the Internet, etc.
  • Work cooperatively with other maintenance employees
  • Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts and overtime as necessary up to 7 days
  • Must have satisfactory work history as defined in personnel file
  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral to management and other Reliability Technicians
  • Must attend shift first-day-back safety meetings
  • Must comply with all company policies
  • Must meet all requirements to drive/operate company vehicle on company business
  • Must attend all training/development as required by facility management
  • Must practice good housekeeping skills
  • Must abide by Company attendance policy
  • Must support PRIDE goals
  • Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
  • Must be able to work with hands/arms extended overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly
  • Must be able to work in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees for limited periods of time
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools and equipment
  • Must be able to use/operate hand and power tools in areas of limited space
  • Must be able to work in elevated environment (ladders, lifts, baskets, etc.) for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations
  • Must be able to work outdoors as needed
  • Must be able to work on facility roofs as necessary
  • Must be able to work near moving electrical machine parts and near live electrical systems
