The person will be facilitating the strategic development and implementation of maintenance strategies, standards, and processes to continuously improve equipment reliability, as well as the tactical support for the facility using reliability methodologies to troubleshoot and determine root causes of failure to eliminate unexpected failures. This position is for a engineer with effective communication who has high energy and motivation. It is a high visibility and growing role within the organization, with the expectation that it will guide the implementation of the Total Reliability Management Process in the Perrigo Wisconsin facility.Scope of the Role Guide the development of the asset care strategy and plan for the entire site; evaluating and developing solutions to drive uptime and stability of plant site. Develop asset care competencies within the Maintenance and Engineering team. Provide specialist guidance and advice on asset care management. Ensure reliability, availability, and maintainability techniques are incorporated into capital projects. Address problems with asset care program and lead the implementation of corrective actions. Manage required asset care systems and ensure functional and data integrity of information. Support the overall condition monitoring activities, ensuring that the relevant competencies are developed; setting up outsourced activities, evaluate and introduce monitoring techniques, conduct training partnering with training department and OEM/suppliers. Interpret data collected from condition monitoring, provide and implement recommendations working with key stakeholders. Assist with the on-going continuous improvement Support  Asset Reliability Work Processes – eg FMEA, RCA, and Equipment Criticality Assessment. Provide technical support & expertise to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and improve reliability. Supervises the Planning and Scheduling group along with a Reliability Engineer (Mechanical)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or related.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance trouble-shooting and best practices
  • Knowledgeable in predictive maintenance tools such as Vibration, Ultrasound, Thermography
  • Experience with a maintenance management system (SAP preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • ISO category 1 vibration preferred.
