SUMMARY: Responsible for the proper use of the MMS/SAP PM Maintenance Management system. This role monitors the metrics of the Planning and Scheduling of work orders and P.M.S. cost tracking by piece of equipment. Understand plant budgeting of maintenance costs by piece of equipment to include both labor and parts used in the repair of the equipment; monitor operations and maintenance procedures as it relates to equipment and processes; Works with plant management, Corporate Engineering, and production, as necessary, on new projects, the installations of these new projects, and finally the introduction of these additions into the plant process. Works very closely with Divisional Engineer to ensure that Capital as well as Expense projects are accurate as well as thought out to ensure that money is well spent, and best decisions are made. Responsible for the maintenance training activities of all Maintenance personnel. Knowledge of the proper use of the Process Safety Management (PSM) program. In conjunction with safety ensure that all maintenance related safety programs are followed and in place; Coordinates best practices that are associated with all maintenance activities by making sure consistent communication and direction within the plant. Learn Plant equipment and advise on future capital strategies. Responsible for ideation and development of a rolling 5-year capital plan both for the necessity and productivity needs of the plant. Assume primary responsibility of Utilities and PSM. Track all open projects through approvals and to completion.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Must have relevant supervisory experience.
  • Computer Skills: Good working knowledge of computers and various programs.
  • Communication Skills: Must have good written as well as verbal communication skills
  • Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Special Skills: Be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, boiler systems, water treatment systems, hydraulic systems, and packaging systems as well as a general knowledge of wastewater systems. Good understanding of production processes and procedures. Proficient in the development of both short- and long-term plans for the efficient operation and improvement of facilities and equipment; have expertise in the development of programs for cost reduction and production efficiencies.
