Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Professional certification preferred (TPM, CMRT or other relevant certification).
  • Six Sigma Black or Green belt preferred.
  • OSHA 10 hour certification.
  • Certified or eligible to become certified CPR/First Aid/BBP.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Maintenance, Reliability or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a site leader for preventive and predictive maintenance and lead technical problem solving efforts.
  • Responsible for uptime of process, ancillary, and facilities equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe to operate and lead continuous improvement efforts for the team.
  • Establish and lead plant safety objectives and ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Hold employees and contractors accountable for working safely, effectively and within all organizational guidelines.
  • Use risk analysis tools and techniques to evaluate safety issues.
  • Participate in, support and champion safety initiatives.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot for quality and production.
  • Develop and lead improvement programs around quality, process capability and yield reduction.
  • Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellence.
  • Understand and implement strategic management aspects of reliability engineering.
  • Plan for reliability programs and integrate various engineering and operational systems.
  • Develop models to analyze and predict performance.
  • Develop reliability test plans that represent the expected use environment and operational conditions.
  • Identify, collect, analyze and manage various types of data to minimize failures and improve performance.
  • Assist with site regulatory compliance.
  • Regularly interact with frontline leaders and production employees to provide direction and leadership.
  • Maintain ISO compliant maintenance records for site equipment.
  • Identify chronic yield, uptime, and productivity issues and identify corrective actions.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Participate in identifying and developing training to ensure department has skills needed to support the business.
  • Partner with Operations Team for clarification and conferring with the requestor.
  • Originate and process emergency work orders when needed.
  • Validate all modifications made to equipment.
  • Assist in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarize self with new equipment and assist in training technicians and maintenance team.
  • Stay informed of process changes which may affect the normal operation of the equipment.
  • Assist large installations and equipment modification projects.
  • Maintain a team effort attitude and approach.
  • Lead 6s and TPM initiatives.
  • Use probability and statistical tools to analyze product lifecycle and conduct hypotheses testing.
  • Train designated backup and others as identified in all tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
