About The Position

RELIABILITY MAINTENANCE ENGINEER INTERN Location: Kalamazoo, MI Internship Summary: Intern will support onsite engineering and maintenance teams for Utilities/Facility, specifically targeting reliability/equipment engineering, while cross functionally partnering across the site to support production. Internship Job Duties: Students’ scope of work may include the following: Assist the Utilities and Facilities team in supporting day-to-day operations Collaborate across multiple units (operations, quality, process engineering, maintenance) to identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime. Improve PM, Calibration, CBM, and Lubrication plans Improve spare parts for U/F equipment Execute the Failure Analysis, Reporting and Corrective Action program (FRACAS) Implement continuous improvement items Develop and submit change control documentation Support team with capital project related activities Support long term strategic Reliability and Maintenance activities Support site and corporate ESG initiatives Communicate with key stakeholders at the site

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an engineering degree program during the Spring term preceding internship (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Biosystem preferred).
  • Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must be physically residing in the U.S for the entirety of the internship.

  • Candidate interested in pursuing a career in the Pharmaceutical or Life Science industry preferred.
