Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
  • Experience with hardware/system testing or troubleshooting in a lab, factory, or depot environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience working within cross-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in presenting data to internal or external customers
  • Experience with reliability/maintainability/testability analysis tools (e.g. Reliasoft Tool Suite, DSI eXpress, or Windchill)
  • Experience working with and interpreting interfaces between hardware and software
  • EW/Radar/EO-IR system experience
  • Experience in working with software/firmware development and implementation
  • Diagnostic dependency modeling experience
  • Experience working in the DoD customer community (US Army, US Air Force, US Navy)

Responsibilities

  • Support the program in the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACAS) process
  • Support development of Built-In test (BIT), reliability/maintainability/testability and diagnostic associated requirements as required
  • Help define failure modes and their effects on systems
  • Collaborate with hardware/software design teams to identify and resolve non-conformances
