About The Position

THE ROLE The First Shift Reliability Engineering Technician leads asset reliability initiatives and projects to improve operational performance with improved designs and maintenance practices. This Technician role is critical to ensuring the business acquires maximum value from projects and initiatives. It improves physical assets by enhancing efficiency, reducing or sustaining operating costs, and lowering or maintaining overall net asset value. Responsibilities include oversight of projects by developing concepts to prototypes/practices within the change control practices of the company. Approved prototypes will carry over to projects requiring the development of capital requests, installation, acceptance testing, validation support, maintenance plans, training materials and operations technical support. Requirements for this position include full familiarity with mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and control components. The Technician assists in the understanding and correction of failures, the effects of those failures on the larger systems as well as appropriate mitigating actions. Also required is an understanding of best practices, an ability to read drawings and schematics, and an ability to identify likely failure points in design. The Technician, Reliability Engineering acts as a team member of the maintenance organization. Requirements

  • Understanding of how to apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO), and approaches to uncovering core causes
  • Solid understanding of Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic.
  • Experience with the Reliability Centered Maintenance processes and use of Root Cause Analysis methodology.
  • Proven computer skills, technical writing, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate technical issues concisely.
  • Ability and willingness to work in team-based environment.
  • This position will require the employee to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc. An MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee's eligibility to operate these lifts.
  • A Valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • 5+ years of experience in critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex hydraulic and mechanical systems, industrial controls, variable frequency drives and motor controls, lubrication, vibration, and steam systems.
  • Experience with Oracle and Emaint or another CMMS type system
  • Internal Herbalife Employees must be Maintenance Technician level 3 or higher to be eligible
  • Associate’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or an equivalent combination of education and/or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of experience in a GMP/FDA manufacturing environment
  • Professional qualifications and skills illustrating competencies such as being able to read and produce technical drawings and schematics.
