About the position

As a Reliability Engineering Technician at Goodyear, you will be responsible for providing specialized training and instruction in troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to Electricians and Maintenance personnel, while ensuring proper documentation. You will work closely with engineering and maintenance personnel on program development, governance, and implementation of changes and additions to plant machinery and equipment to improve efficiency, product quality, and reliability. The role requires high-level troubleshooting for machine on-shift issues and assisting in installations and start-ups of new equipment and machinery. You will also work with outside contractors and suppliers on installing, repairing, or commissioning plant machinery and equipment, and provide complete and accurate documentation of new installations and modifications to existing equipment. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety procedures and guidelines is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized training and instruction in troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance personnel on program development and implementation.
  • Perform high-level troubleshooting for machine on-shift issues.
  • Assist in installations and start-ups of new equipment and machinery.
  • Work with outside contractors and suppliers on installing, repairing, or commissioning plant machinery.
  • Provide complete and accurate documentation of new installations and modifications.
  • Upgrade skill level through seminars, training classes, and technical publications.
  • Operate specialized testing and diagnostic equipment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical Technology.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Direct PLC experience with PLC, motion, and automated equipment.
  • Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights.

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $36.00 to $39.00/hr based on experience.
  • Additional compensation available through overtime opportunities.
