About The Position

West Fraser is currently seeking a Reliability Engineering Intern for Summer 2026: May-Aug. This individual will receive exposure to real-life challenges in the field and be provided with rewarding work allowing you to grow professionally. The successful candidate will be supervised by the site Reliability Manager and will work closely with the site Electrical Engineer, Sawmill Superintendent, Maintenance Superintendent, Millwrights, Electricians and vendors to drive out repeat failures and implement all aspects of West Fraser’s reliability program. Duties/Focus: All maintenance and reliability-based projects including adding automatic lubrication system to our woodyard knuckle boom and developing our life (replacement) plans for our press return lines. A successful Intern with West Fraser will be considered for a full-time role with the Company upon graduation and is, in fact, a primary goal of the Intern program. Requirements

  • Graduate no later than December 2027 with a degree in Engineering
  • GPA of 3.00 or higher overall
  • Desire to perform hands-on work to equipment
  • Willing and able to perform a variety of tasks
  • Ability to successfully communicate daily with different levels of roles
