Requirements

  • BS Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years in an Industrial Environment.
  • Preferable cement process knowledge.
  • Proficiencies in Predictive and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Strong maintenance background with an emphasis on improving reliability.
  • Strong computer skills with a background in CAD.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Team player who will achieve the goals of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a dusty, noisy, and potentially hazardous physical environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and move through close areas.
  • Willingness to travel with some extended periods away from home facility.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on improvements in plant operation.
  • Review all reliability, productivity, and downtime reports to identify repetitive problems.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams, study options, and develop solutions.
  • Engineer out built-in deficiencies and inadequacies in equipment, proposing upgrades.
  • Develop and implement the vibration analysis predictive maintenance program.
  • Ensure the predictive maintenance program includes alignment and equipment balancing.
  • Provide input to the plant capital budget with data required for successful project completion.
  • Estimate, budget, and interact with contractors and vendors while keeping projects within cost parameters.
  • Interact with all operating groups and the Maintenance Department.
  • Provide corrective action for repetitive problems and areas of abnormally high cost.
  • Obtain funds for improvement projects from the maintenance or capital budget.
  • Provide input to the Maintenance Manager for the annual maintenance budget.
  • Act in a supervisory role as required within the plant.
  • Be on call on a rotating basis to cover mechanical problems.
  • Serve as a role model in leadership, teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement, safety, and environmental stewardship.
