Reliability Engineer

About The Position

The reliability engineer will create, develop and maintain reliability/sustainability engineering projects in a manufacturing facility. This position contributes to business goals through capital projects to improve safety, decrease costs, and improve productivity through reliable equipment and maintenance. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

Planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Skill is using CADD software.
Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts.
Ability to plan and direct safe work activities and establish safe working guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

Nice To Haves

One year’s experience in a manufacturing, refinery, or pipeline environment is preferred.
One year’s project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create plans and strategies for increasing the reliability of the plant.
Provide engineering support to the maintenance and production teams.
Administer reliability projects and assist maintenance in conducting failure analysis and prevention.
Investigate equipment maintenance problems and initiate corrective measures.
Drive improvements through plant turnarounds, reliability planning, and process training.
Collaborate to identify and implement reliability improvements specific to equipment.
Contribute scope development for maintenance and capital improvements.
Provide reliability expertise during design and implementation of new assets.
Provide training for operations to improve skills and knowledge.
Develop metrics and reliability reports for equipment performance.
Identify cost reductions through extended parts’ life and reduced labor cost.
Ensuring a safe work environment.
