Primary Responsibilities: As a Reliability Engineer II, you are responsible for defining and driving design assurance and reliability requirements to ensure our products meet customer expectations of quality and performance through the product life cycle. The specific responsibilities, experience, and knowledge requirements are as follows:

Requirements

  • Alternative techniques to evaluate reliability beyond unit life testing
  • Experience in Reliability fundamentals, Acceleration factors for life testing
  • Experience with Electrical circuit reliability
  • Experience with HALT/HASS, Accelerated Life Testing
  • Experience with Design of Experiments
  • Experience with statistics and reliability analysis techniques such as Weibull analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, FMEAs, Derating, and Reliability Allocation
  • Experience with field failure / warranty data analysis and tracking
  • Experience in appliance industry or mass-produced consumer products
  • Experience in Engineering (Design / Reliability / Quality)
  • Bachelor's in engineering or relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
  • Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW

Responsibilities

  • Provide reliability engineering input as a member of new product development teams
  • Work with new product development teams to establish reliability test plans, verification and validation test requirements
  • Create reliability improvement plans by reviewing previous generation product warranty claims and call center data to mitigate field losses
  • Integrate reliability analysis techniques into product or program design objectives
  • Conduct/Lead effective Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis
  • Design and redesign electro-mechanical systems in cooking, cleaning and refrigeration products for our brands
  • Work with Purchasing, Quality Engineering, and component suppliers to drive reliability improvement into purchased components
  • Generate test plans and requirements working with test lab technicians to evaluate product and component testing results
