The Andersen Windows 100 series team is seeking an experienced Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering, and a passion for strategic thinking. As part of our dynamic team, you will help drive equipment continuous improvement initiatives, implement innovative solutions, and help shape our engineering team's strategic direction. You will be a key contributor in implementing new and exciting technologies throughout our 220,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Garland, Texas. Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or Technology or a similar field
  • 3-10 years engineering experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of servo motion controls, pneumatics, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized and self-disciplined.
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Comfortable with hands-on troubleshooting
  • Comfortable with a manufacturing facility setting and equipment
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and initiatives related to mechanical improvements, identifying and solving problems related to the reliability of systems and equipment.
  • Project management skills: deliver safe, effective, sustainable, and reliable solutions (Equipment specification, preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting) using a total productive maintenance (TPM) Methodology.
  • Collaborate with a team of Maintenance Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Electrical/Controls Engineers to focus on root cause analysis specific to equipment downtime opportunities.
  • Gathering and analyzing equipment failure data in order to set priorities and meet deliverables.
  • Identifying and implementing new technologies and processes related to equipment uptime utilization and process improvements.
  • Support maintenance and operations team with advanced controls troubleshooting
  • Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives
  • Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis on process improvements.
  • Day-to-day responding to production needs, such as equipment troubleshooting, quality concerns, and process control.
  • Promote a hands on, high involvement approach to problem solving
