About The Position

The Reliability Electrician V is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, programming, and improvement initiatives of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and controls for plant equipment. This role focuses on maintaining and ensuring the capacity of equipment assets to optimize efficiencies at the lowest reasonable cost, while adhering to safety practices and high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of electrical systems including MCCs, inverters, motors, PLCs, and robotics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/prints.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical components such as PLCs, AC & DC drives, and relay logic.
• Ability to create advanced PLC systems and programs for process and operational control.
• Safety practices knowledge including LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, and Hot Work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with process calibrators, oscilloscopes, and data loggers.
• Math skills including arithmetic and application of formulas for current and voltage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest performance levels including electrical systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and lead repairs of equipment affecting safety, quality, and productivity.
• Differentiate between cause types when troubleshooting among product, process, mechanical, and electrical contributors.
• Communicate findings and lead design and implementation of corrective steps.
• Verify, provide feedback, and update electrical schematics appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Execute and assist in development of proactive maintenance plans including preventive and condition maintenance.
• Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement efforts.
• Mentor Reliability Electrician II's-IV's in skill development and project management.
