About The Position

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Reliability Center Manager that will be based at one of our West region locations, Garfield, UT, Ontario, CA, or Pittsburgh, CA. This position will report to Linde’s Maintenance and Turn-a-round Director and will work with stakeholders to achieve strategic reliability goals within the West Region. The overall objective of the Reliability Center Manager is to ensure the reliable and safe operation of air separation, CO2, liquid Hydrogen, HyCO, and other industrial gas production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. They will be expected to work independently and make decisions and recommendations as needed, in consultation with appropriate engineering resources. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for safe, efficient, and quality work with necessary level of technical discipline and rigor by Reliability Center personnel. Ensure safe, timely and effective response to all asset related problems in the region. Plan and execute plans for TAR/outages in the region in accordance with the Linde planning process. Identify opportunities and execute initiatives to improve safety and/or reliability of region plants. Optimize maintenance-related Capex and Opex cost control for Reliability Center and assist in optimizing maintenance spend in Plants. Ensure effective implementation of reliability programs and strategies within the region - such as Hexagon/ProCal utilization, PM/PdM program, RCA program, Spare Parts inventory management process and adherence to SMPs and Technical Standards. Establish a continuous improvement culture within team to meet productivity requirements for Reliability Center and Plants. Provide technical expertise, in consultation with engineering resources, as needed Instill a healthy, team-oriented culture within Reliability Center and ensure effective development and training of all personnel. This position requires a combination of office work and field work. This position typically requires accessibility during off-hours and up to 30% travel domestically. Employee will be required to work in different weather conditions and must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment via ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts and crane baskets. Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering with 5 years of industrial reliability/maintenance experience OR minimum 10 years of industrial reliability/maintenance experience.
  • Experience in leading and executing emergency maintenance response and planned outages for industrial plants.
  • Understanding of standards and best practices in installation, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance of industrial systems and equipment such as compressors, turbines, high speed rotating equipment, motors, electrical distribution systems and sub stations.
  • Excellent communication and team interaction skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks under time and cost pressure; assigns appropriate priorities to competing interests; and, achieves results with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial operations/engineering/reliability/maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of P&L responsibility.
  • Experience with air separation process, assets and operations.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (such as Infor Hexagon), IMMS systems (such as ProCal) and ERP systems (such as JD Edwards).
