About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Release Train Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. We are seeking a full-time on-site release train engineer interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge missile defense modeling and simulation technologies. The selected candidate will be a member of a dynamic Huntsville-based team working on releases of state-of-the-art system-of-systems frameworks.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of Release Train Engineer experience
• Software/project engineering within defense industry
• Agile lifecycle management tools, e.g., Jira, VersionOne, Rally, etc.
• Prioritization and focus on driving value
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels
• Agile patterns in support of disciplined engineering context
• Product and release lifecycle from requirements development to retirement
• Decomposition of features into user stories
• Git-based repository systems, e.g., Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline with 9 years professional experience; or Master’s degree with 7 years professional experience; or PhD with 4 years professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline with 14 years professional experience; or Master’s degree with 12 years professional experience; or PhD with 9 years professional experience

Responsibilities

• Facilitating planning and readiness for Program Increment events
• Maintaining metrics, analysis, and reports on the health, performance, and flow of release train
• Managing risks and dependencies on release train
• Tracking and removing blocking issues and impediments
• Coordinating with leadership to refine processes and drive improvements
• Facilitating system demonstrations, scrum of scrums, and other events
• Guiding growth of scrum masters on release train
