About The Position
The Release of Information (ROI) Specialist is responsible and accountable for the timely and accurate release of patient medical information in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, federal regulations and state statutes. Functions include assuring proper documentation prior to release of records, tracking the status to completion of pending ROI requests and assisting with ROI Customer Service Representative functions. Individuals must also possess the skills necessary to troubleshoot ROI issues that may arise.
