National Debt Relief (NDR) is seeking a highly detail-oriented and process-driven Release Engineer to manage and oversee the release lifecycle across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on Salesforce. This role is essential to ensure reliable, repeatable, and secure deployments across production and non-production environments. While this is not a development role, the ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Salesforce release management, knowledge of Salesforce architecture/metadata, and a solid understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines. You’ll coordinate with developers, QA, and administrators to lead high-quality releases, manage code conflicts, enforce version control practices, and maintain environment readiness. The role will evolve to include support for additional applications and infrastructure release processes beyond Salesforce. This role is critical to enabling a scalable and secure release framework across NDR. While Salesforce is currently the central focus, the Release Engineer will help lay the foundation for broader DevOps practices and support release automation across additional applications and platforms as our ecosystem evolves.

  • Own and lead the end-to-end release process for Salesforce and other supported platforms, including planning, deployment, validation, and post-release monitoring.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to resolve deployment issues, support hotfixes and rollbacks, and improve release reliability.
  • Maintain and enforce Git branching strategies and pull request workflows using GitHub, with emphasis on Git CLI operations (e.g., cherry-picking, rebasing, conflict resolution).
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Gearset, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • Oversee sandbox creation and refresh processes for Salesforce, including executing custom post-refresh scripts and test data seeding.
  • Monitor release metrics, logs, and health checks to identify and address bottlenecks or risks across environments.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of release processes across other applications and services as the organization grows.
  • Support security, compliance, and access control practices by managing release permissions and minimizing direct production access for developers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in release management or DevOps, with at least 3 years in a Salesforce-focused role.
  • Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification preferred.
  • Strong experience managing Salesforce release pipelines, including metadata deployment strategies, environment management, and rollback planning.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and a working understanding of Apex, Flows, LWC, and integration points.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform), Kubernetes, and AWS is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to other release pipelines or infrastructure environments (e.g., internal apps, web services, mobile).
  • Bash scripting, Python, or comparable automation scripting experience for post-deployment tasks and operational tooling.
  • Familiarity with enterprise release management frameworks and change control processes.
  • Proficiency with Git version control (especially GitHub) and Git CLI workflows (branches, merges, cherry-pick, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Gearset, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills for working across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent releases and shifting priorities in an agile development environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes of deployment failures and proactively implement improvements.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence in a collaborative software delivery context.
  • Generous Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits
  • 401(k) with Company Match

  • No-Cost Life Insurance Benefits
