About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The Independent Bank Commercial Real Estate and Residential Construction department seeks an individual to provide heroic customer service to our various clients. An ideal candidate will be a quick learner who is driven by a desire to offer best-in-class service and support to our lenders and clients. The individual will train with the Real Estate Loan Administrator and will be responsible for the following primary duties. This position is required to be in the office Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and is not eligible for remote work. Relationship Support Representatives must adhere to all Bank policies, procedures and all compliance regulations. SKILLS REQUIRED: Understanding of real estate terminology Good oral and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage multi-tab spreadsheets with moderate to complex formulas Experience in customer service, sales, and problem solving Understanding of loan operations, including documentation and procedures PRIMARY DUTIES: Customer Service: serve as primary contact for customer service for both clients and managers. Key role in retention of valuable customers. Administrative Support: work closely with managers to fulfill administrative requirements for construction draws and inspections. Order, review and understand title updates, as required. Execute loan advances and payoffs. Bank Products/Operations: Maintains a basic working knowledge of bank products and operational systems to facilitate the handling of transactions, resolving operational problems, recommending alternative solutions to customers, and responding to customer’s questions and requests. Loan Support: lend support through preparation and review of real estate loan documents. This will include loan file maintenance and any other compliance requirements for the loan portfolio. Work closely with Loan Operations to ensure a transparent transition from pipeline business to booked loans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Prior banking experience is required. The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, regulations, and experience with Laser Pro or similar loan software. 2+ years of prior customer service skills. Good typing, administrative and organization skills.
  • Understanding of real estate terminology
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage multi-tab spreadsheets with moderate to complex formulas
  • Experience in customer service, sales, and problem solving
  • Understanding of loan operations, including documentation and procedures
