About The Position

WECU is seeking a Relationship Officer to join our Sedro-Woolley branch in Sedro-Woolley, WA. This position is responsible for processing a wide variety of member transactions including opening and maintaining all account types and loan offerings. Through effective communication with prospective and current members, this individual sells credit union products and services to achieve organization goals and better the lives of our membership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 1 year experience as a WECU Service Consultant or related experience in a similar role at a financial institution or 3 years customer facing sales experience.
• Possess and/or obtain a Notary Public License.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant training and/or lending experience in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess member needs: Engage in meaningful conversations to understand member goals and recommend tailored product solutions that maximize value through bundling.
• Achieve sales targets: Through adherence to WECU’s sales strategy, consistently meet individual and team sales goals and track referral activity. Prioritize "Selling through Service" to drive product adoption and long-term relationships.
• Build trust and engagement: Follow up with members to ensure satisfaction, address any additional needs, and maintain ongoing communication to position WECU as their first choice for future financial products and services.
• Maintain product knowledge: Continuously enhance expertise to fully understand all WECU products and services and actively assist members in obtaining and using them.
• Demonstrate core values: Show unwavering dedication to WECU’s Core Values and Organizational Behaviors including ‘Show Up to Serve’ by bringing enthusiasm to the role and treating each person professionally, with warmth, courtesy, timeliness and respect.
• Provide exceptional service: To achieve NPS member loyalty goals, offer personalized advice, clear explanations and accurate service, ensuring members understand the value of WECU and how our products and services fit into their financial plans.
• Resolve member concerns: Address issues with action and effectiveness, ensuring a positive experience and a continued trusted relationship.
• Along with Service Consultants, support the Financial Center as needed by processing a wide variety of transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and wire transfers.
• Process Safe Deposit Box rental, access, maintenance, and closure.
• Provide Notary Public services.
• Provide account origination and maintenance services to both consumers and businesses.
• Assist members with consumer loan needs including applications and funding.
• Manage attendance and schedule availability to support branch appointments and walk-ins.
• Perform other member service functions as needed and assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand and comply with branch security procedures at all times.
• Employ sound judgment, maintaining knowledge of and adhering to all accuracy standards described in internal and external policies and procedures.
• Follow WECU’s policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
