The Relationship Manager (RM) role at Moody's involves managing and expanding commercial relationships with some of the company's largest and most strategic global customers in the Americas. The RM is responsible for driving sales growth across all MA product offerings, developing account strategies, and acting as a trusted advisor to C-Level executives. This position requires a strong focus on client needs, sales cycle management, and collaboration with global teams to achieve sales targets.

  • Manage and grow commercial relationships with strategic global customers.
  • Identify and qualify prospects, initiating new sales activities.
  • Manage sales cycles to closure, providing strategic guidance and product overviews to clients.
  • Develop and execute account commercial strategies and business plans.
  • Provide sales forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and practices relevant to Professional Services.
  • Act as the point of contact for C-Level executives at client companies.
  • Generate, qualify, and convert new leads through networking and prospecting.
  • Identify client needs and translate them into compelling solutions.
  • Demonstrate the value of MA's solutions to customers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global colleagues and different Operating Units during sales cycles.
  • Provide current sales forecasts and sales pipeline information regularly.
  • 10+ years of experience in direct business-to-business sales roles, particularly in Professional Services.
  • Solid understanding of the Professional Services industry, including market dynamics and customer business drivers.
  • Degree educated in finance, business, or economics (or equivalent).
  • Entrepreneurial style with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Robust problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while integrating with sales teams as needed.
  • Proven sales track record and ability to influence key decision-makers.
  • Consultative selling approach and experience managing complex sales processes.
  • Strong networking skills to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Motivated to excel in a high-energy selling environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
