The Relationship Development Representative is responsible for independently generating new memberships and loan business during on-site visits. This includes developing and generating new business relationships through in-person visits to sheriff and police stations, federal buildings, seminars, and other community locations. This position supports marketing and business development efforts and requires strong communication skills, confidence presenting to small and large groups, experience in sales, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with members, prospective members, ambassadors, community members, and third-party vendors. Key responsibilities include generating new business and community outreach for the Credit Union through participation in various public relation meetings and events such as sponsorships, business and charitable organizations, and community activities. Events include law enforcement recruitment classes, agency functions, picnics, banquets, and Credit Union-sponsored functions. The Credit Union’s Field of Membership includes Southern California law enforcement professionals and individuals employed in the Police Protection and Foundation Industry located in Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. The RDO conducts off-site visits approximately 70% of the time, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Duties are performed primarily outside of the typical office setting with minimum time spent in an office environment.
