About The Position

The position is focused on enhancing customer relationships and improving customer service within the bank. The individual will greet and direct walk-in customers, answer telephones, and assist customers with their banking needs. This role involves a variety of administrative duties aimed at creating an exceptional client experience, and it can be offered as either full-time or part-time.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Understanding of bank products and services.
  • Ability to assist customers with account information and general questions.
  • Proficient in handling phone calls and directing them appropriately.
  • Experience with non-cash banking functions such as deposits and transfers.
  • Knowledge of debit card support and fraud identification.
  • Ability to balance spreadsheets and General Ledgers accurately.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and laws related to banking duties.

Responsibilities

  • Greet walk-in customers in a friendly, professional manner and direct them to the proper personnel.
  • Assist customers with banking questions and provide information about bank products and services.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Perform non-cash functions for customers, including deposits and transfers.
  • Provide general debit card support, including fraud identification and transaction support.
  • Assist with balancing spreadsheets and General Ledgers for the department as needed.
  • Oversee client access to and security of the safety deposit box vault.
  • Monitor the Client Relationship Management (CRM) System and assist with escalations.
  • Assist clients with online account opening and loan applications as needed.
  • Recognize suspicious behavior and consult management on transactions when necessary.
  • Comply with laws and regulations related to all duties performed.
  • Conduct account reviews for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform various administrative functions such as check ordering and maintaining the employee telephone directory.
  • Manage supply inventory and public postings in the lobby.
  • Ensure entrance doors open and lock at appropriate times.
  • Distribute mail, including return mail, and perform other assigned duties.
