About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) to join their National Branch Network. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers across all segments, including affluent customers, addressing their everyday banking needs, products, and services. Engagement occurs through scheduled appointments, lobby interactions, and proactive outreach. The Relationship Banker is responsible for helping customers progress toward their financial goals by offering planning, digital engagement, and customized deposit, credit, and investment solutions. Additionally, the role involves supporting routine banking activities such as opening accounts, handling service requests, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. The position emphasizes building credibility and loyalty through discovery-driven conversations to foster enduring customer partnerships. Relationship Bankers operate within a collaborative branch environment, supported by Wells Fargo's brand and ongoing coaching, and are expected to partner with colleagues to facilitate referrals. Success in this role is contingent on strong relationship acumen, proactive customer engagement, and effective collaboration with partners in Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking to deliver integrated solutions. The Relationship Banker LP (license pending) is a temporary role until the employee successfully completes licensing and SAFE requirements, after which they transition to the permanent Relationship Banker (SAFE) role. Employees hired into the LP role who are not fully licensed will participate in the Branch Network Licensed Banker program.

Requirements

2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
1+ year of assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution, demonstrated through work or military experience
1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
Ability to work a schedule that will include most Saturdays
FINRA Series 6, Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents), and State Insurance license(s) which must be active or completed within a designated timeframe
For any FINRA qualification exams earned after Sept. 30, 2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam is also required
For the following states where hired, FINRA Series 65 (or equivalent) examination will also be required to be attempted within a specified period of time: AK, AL, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, MD, MI, MN, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WY (Wyoming allows referral-only licensed bankers to receive the IAR registration without the Series 65/66)
Obtaining and maintaining required FINRA licenses is necessary for continued employment
Meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment and Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background (A credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply)

Partner with a team of professionals across Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking to deliver integrated solutions by coordinating warm introductions, setting clear expectations, and taking personal ownership to convert qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
Champion digital adoption by educating customers on self-service and mobile banking options to elevate satisfaction, engagement, and service efficiency
Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits, documenting actions and setting follow-up plans that reinforce trust and ease
Demonstrate risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely issue escalation, and adherence to policies and regulations to support strong control outcomes
