About The Position

Join Mascoma Bank’s Retail Team as a Relationship Banker- Operations Supervisor and help us improve our clients' financial being! We are looking for an upbeat, self-motivated Relationship Banker- Operations Supervisor to join our team. The supervisor will take responsibility of the efficient operation of the Teller area while providing the best possible experience for our customers.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of teller line
  • 2+ years of banking experience
  • Complete understanding of operational procedures gained through several years of operational experience
  • Ability to use and working knowledge of computers/strong keyboarding skills
  • Good interpersonal communication
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Professional appearance; grooming and dress consistent with MB appearance policy

Responsibilities

  • Under guidance of the Branch Manager, assumes responsibilities for the efficient operation of the teller area; Makes recommendations for improved procedures; Assists Branch Manager in compiling necessary data and completes branch reports.
  • Provides bank customers with a variety of customer services including: Processing a variety of customer-initiated transactions, i.e., deposits, withdrawals, etc.; selling money orders, official checks, etc. in accordance with established policies.
  • Accepting and processing all types of loan payments; cashing checks in accordance with check cashing policy; issuing cash advances.
  • Enhances customer relationships by cross-selling bank products.
  • Responsible for all security procedures and ensures that Relationship Bankers adhere to policy; CIP and BSA policies.
  • Manages cash inventory for the branch and cash machine operations to include balancing, auditing, and cleaning. Trains branch staff on cash machine procedures. Manages and is responsible for the cash inventory for the branch; Issues cash to Relationship Bankers and ensures that they have sufficient funds for daily transactions; Assumes responsibility for security of all currency utilized in the branch. Manages the ATM process if ATM is serviced by branch staff as required by location.
  • In partnership with the Branch Manager, sets the expectations of the High 5 Customer Experience behaviors that Greets, Uses Customer Name, Engage, Thank and Show that you like your job to customer upon visiting the branch to assist them with both deposit/loan and more detailed transactions.
  • Communicates and interacts with customers, both internal and external, with confidence. This communication and interaction could be in-person, over-the-phone, or via email.
  • Attends appropriate training programs as made available by the Bank.
  • Leads and embraces challenges, learning from feedback; inspires and celebrates others’ successes; is a leader in the branch.
