About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) for the National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering a full range of retail banking products and services. The position requires compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and involves transitioning from a temporary Relationship Banker LP (SAFE) role to a fully licensed Relationship Banker (SAFE) role upon meeting licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution experience.
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations.
  • State Insurance license(s).
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems.
  • Proficient in sourcing and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of book of business processes to manage customer needs.
  • Ability to be proactive and innovative in meeting customer needs.
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching.
  • Experience assessing customer needs and recommending products/services.
  • Knowledge of financial services consumer lending products.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers and understand their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for offering Wells Fargo retail banking products and services.
  • Analyze business challenges related to full-service banking for affluent customers.
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests.
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits and create follow-up plans.
  • Provide information to enhance customer experience through internal and external sources.
  • Connect customers with appropriate partners or relationship managers.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to address investment or retirement needs.
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers.
