About The Position

As a Relationship Banker, you are the first point of contact for customers. You perform a number of client-facing functions, including providing excellent customer service to First Internet Bank customers; responding to customer inquiries via phone, email and chat; and supporting deposit/payment processing, New Accounts, Wire Transfers, ACH and other general banking services. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 12pm-9pm, with one required Saturday shift per month from 9am-3pm. This position has a starting rate of $20/hr. and is eligible for a shift differential equivalent to a 10% increase of hourly wage for hours scheduled and worked after 5pm on weekdays, and time scheduled and worked on Saturdays. Throughout the first year of employment, the hourly pay may increase by as much as 7.5% subject to successful onboarding and performance. What You Will Do: Respond to customer inquiries about Deposit Accounts, Loan Accounts, Wire Transfers, ACH, Bill Payment, and questions on other bank services and procedures. Explain features and benefits, provide options, determine the next best product or service for all customers. The Bank emphasizes a needs-based sales environment Interact with the other staff in customer service along with employees of the bank’s other departments in order to meet the needs of the customer Open or verify new deposit accounts Process incoming deposits and payments Enter and verify wire transfers Some essential functions of the position cannot be performed remotely and require on-site work in order to maintain customer relationships and administrative tasks while also providing cross department support Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant customer service experience in retail banking is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to excellence
  • Strong self-initiated problem solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong PC and Internet skills
  • Attention to detail
